Job Role: Family, Property and Employment Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal (FT)
We are looking to hire an experienced Family Law, Property and Employment Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our team.
You will be working alongside the Solicitors and qualified members of Parachute Law providing legal support. The role is varied and exciting so will add value to your CV, there is plenty of scope for personal development.

Your Responsibilities: Litigation Legal Assistant
Your typical responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as letters and contracts ready to prepare and send out
- Case preparation, bundling, research, arranging/attending conferences and client meetings
- Taking initial information from clients.
- Ensuring all incoming correspondence relating to cases is acted upon and letters are sent out in a timely manner
- Inbox management. Filtering out junk and high priority case related emails and bringing to the attention of the relevant Solicitor to action
- Manage, organise, and maintain documents in electronic filing systems
- Assist the teams with sales, marketing and networking of the services
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and seeing to all client needs via telephone and email
To be successful in this role, you should be well-organised, have great time management skills and be able to act without guidance. You should be comfortable with learning IT skills and using various software programmes.
Skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional demeanour
- Essential to have Litigation document drafting and trial bundling experience
- Knowledge of drafting and serving litigation documents
- Ability to adhere to and manage deadlines
- Advanced level in all Microsoft Office packages / IT
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively
- Document creation and formatting to a very high standard using the correct company layout and branding
- Familiarity with court forms and applications
- Follow financial guidelines with regards to Solicitors Accounts Rules and cash flow control on case files
- Adhering to litigation deadlines
Qualifications for Litigation Legal Assistant
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Legal Secretary, or worked in Litigation as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal or another similar role.
- The candidate will ideally have experience of employment litigation (including Employment Tribunal and County Court proceedings) and employment Settlement Agreements
- Preferably, experience in: Cohabitee Disputes, TOLATA, Home-ownership Disputes, Property Disputes and Employment Law.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
